Nico Marley was born on January 5, 1995 in Haiti and lived in Jamaica for two years. Then he moved to Miami at the age of four. Later he attended Cypress Bay High School, where he was named first-team all-state as a senior with 67 tackles. In 2012 he was MVP of the Al Golden Summer Camp. Otherwise, he was rated a three-star college recruit by 247Sports.com and two-star by ESPN, Rivals.com and Scout.com.
Undrafted for the NFL Draft 2017, the Haitian-American linebacker finally made it to the NFL. Actually, Marley signed with an NFL team as an undrafted free agent. Recognized by his talent Nico Marley is especially known for being the son of Rohan and grandson of Bob Marley.
Nico’s father, Rohan marley he’s an entrepreneur who own a farm of coffee and business clothing. He is a former college football player. He learned the game by watching the games on the TV. Furthermore, he played football at the university of miami where he met several well known personalities. Indeed, he was in the same recuiting class than Warren Sapp and played alongside Ray Lewis and The Rock. However, after sophomore year he only received one offer and it was from Tulane. After playing some games in New Orleans the staff and the coach realized that he had something special. Marley played four seasons at Tulane and finished the 2016 season with 86 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss and three sacks. As a result, the one who was described as a quiet guy made his proof and regret those who doubted about him.

On May 16, 2017, the Washington Redskins signed former Tulane linebacker as an undrafted free agent.

The Linebacker has been making some noise weekly in practices since late july. Moreover, on August 11, 2017, Nico Marley played his first game with the Redskins against the Ravens (preseason game). The least one can say is that Rohan’s son did well. Actually, during the game, he recorded a sack, four tackles and never slow down on the field.
